Manduca counterfeits - plagiarism

Copies of the Manduca keep cropping up on various channels. Unfortunately, due to its high demand, the Manduca in particular is a popular target for product counterfeiters. Replicas are produced so perfectly that at first glance they are indistinguishable from the original. Even we often cannot see the difference, because toxic pollutants and savings on safety by using thinner yarns are simply not detectable, but no compromises are made. The effects on your baby could be fatal or even life-threatening.

And this is why these cheap Manduca copies are so dangerous for you and your baby:

  • The seams are often poorly made. Thinner yarns are used which tear and do not provide any safety. This cannot be seen with the naked eye!
  • The material does not correspond to the specifications, e.g. B. Instead of 100% organic cotton, contaminated cotton is used, or even mixed fabric or 100% polyester (although something else is declared).
  • The size is wrong and the proportions are not right.
  • Shoulder or hip straps are too short or too long.
  • The carrier shrinks when washed for the first time and the fabric loses its structure The first time you wash the baby carrier, it loses a lot of color or discolors.
  • Continuous innovations do not apply.

The Manduca is known for its outstanding quality and ecological standards. Please do not fall for counterfeits. You should be particularly careful with very cheap prices (including and especially from well-known online retailers). Nobody can afford to sell the Manduca below the retailer's purchase price.

Quote John Ruskin:

"There is hardly anything in this world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper. People who only focus on price fall prey to such schemes. It is unwise to pay too much, but it is even worse to pay too little. If you pay too much, you lose some money, that's all. If you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the object you buy cannot do the job it was designed to do. The law of economics prohibits getting a lot of value for little money. If you accept the lowest offer, you have to add something for the risk you are taking. And if you do that, you will have enough money to pay for something better."
